Following an introductory chapter on the history and current status of the issue, there are two papers which discuss general problems and the current extent of library unionization. Other papers deal with the legal environment, recognition and bargaining units, the scope and obligations of negotiation, grievances, impasse resolution in the public sector, and negotiation simulation. Implications for public and academic libraries are also covered. A glossary and a bibliography (organized by topic) are included. (LS)
