The economic aspects of automated cataloging and card production were compared with previous methods; the effectiveness of the system as a tool for pre-order searching was evaluated; and the impact of the system's use on interlibrary loan was determined. Both academic and public libraries participated in the extensive evaluation. Appendixes contain a statement of research methodology, profile and terminal data, reports of site visits, and a glossary.
