Case Studies Course Descriptions Course Objectives Courses Curriculum Development Interpersonal Competence Interpersonal Relationship Library Education During the fall term of 1975, an experimental course was offered at the School of Library Science, Emporia Kansas State College. The objective was to review the general principles of interpersonal relations and to apply them to case studies involving library staff and patrons. Using a brief reading list and a case study approach, students were expected to become familiar with the relevant literature, to reflect on their own behavior, and to internalize techniques for effective interpersonal relations. A systems approach was used, but it was observed that students experienced difficulty internalizing the principles that were introduced. (EMH)
