Behavioral objectives are presented in the following categories: orientation in the use of the library media center, care of materials, materials selection, circulation procedures, library media terminology, nonbook materials and equipment, parts of a book, library media center arrangement, card catalog, reference materials, periodicals, information file, bibliographies, abridged readers' guide to periodical literature, and advanced reference materials. Performance criteria are listed for each behavioral objective. Grade levels are suggested for introduction and mastery of each objective. Skills tests for grades 3-8 are included and are recommended for use as pretests and posttests. (MKM)
