A comprehensive machine readable file of social science serials was developed which is called CLOSSS (Check List of Social Science Serials). Data collection, data format procedures, editing and coding serials data, file creation, and analysis of the data base are all necessary operations for construction of a machine-readable file of bibliographical data. Data collection sheets, classification and coding procedures and labels are appended along with a diagram of main components of a CLOSSS record. (CH) |
