- Nontraditional Self-Studies in Accreditation. Andrews, Grover J. Accreditation (Institutions) College Libraries Evaluation Methods Institutional Research Libraries Library Standards Self Evaluation (Groups) A self-study of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools over a two-year period brought about a realization of the need for the development of nontraditional self-study for reaffirmation of accreditation. Such self-studies were conducted at Vanderbilt University, University of Houston, University of Miami, and the University of Louisville in 1975 and 1976. A new accreditation standard was adopted by the association that will help establish the library as the focal point of self-studies in the future. (DS)
