Project activities were divided into: (1) career awareness, grades K-6; (2) career exploration, grades 7-9; (3) career preparation, grades 10-12; and (4) guidance. To meet the objectives, staff development activities, curriculum implementation, material distribution, a resource survey, job placement, job interviews, and field trips were undertaken. A third party evaluation concluded that the project was successful. Appended materials make up a major part of the document. An organizational chart is presented in Appendix A and is followed by suggested goals and subgoals for elementary schools (Appendix B), East Junior High School (Appendix C), and Kelly Walsh High School (Appendix D). The goals are based on career awareness, self-awareness, attitude development, educational awareness, economic awareness, consumer competencies, career planning and decision-making skill development, career orientation, and career exploration. Single-page unit outlines developed for the K-6 component are presented in Appendix E. Appendix F (22 pages) lists locally available career education materials (books, learning activity packages, cassettes, filmstrips, filmstrips with cassettes, filmstrips with records, kits, and 16mm films).
