A Modest Proposal" by Rollin Douma argues that the use of a written book selection and complaint policy containing the American Library Association's and the National Council of Teachers of English's guidelines effectively inhibits censorship in schools. "Teaching About Religion Through the Language Arts" by Galen Boehme discusses the possibilities for teaching about religion in the public school, especially through language arts coruses. (TS)
