The data collected included information on: 1) number of volumes in the library's collection; 2) number of drawers in its catalog; 3) physical arrangement of the catalog; 4) organizational arrangement of the catalog; 5) filing rules used; 6) personnel involved in creating and maintaining the catalog; 8) supplementary files maintained; and 9) referrals to other collections. This report gives a library-by-library summary of the findings for each factor investigated. (EMH) |
