Feder, Helga Annotated Bibliographies Bibliographies Citations (References) German Literature Reference Materials Research Tools Resource Materials This guide is a selection of important reference sources for research in German literature. All major bibliographies and other German reference works, covering the earliest to the most recent literature are included. Important German reference works listing international materials are also included. With the exception of translation sources, the "Short-Title Catalogue..." of the British Museum, and "Monatshefte," a German language periodical published in the U.S., this guide is limited to German language publications published in Germany. Among the types of publications covered in this work are: guides, bibliographies of bibliographies, retrospective and annual bibliographies, national bibliographies, period bibliographies, bibliographies of genres and motives, bibliographies and indexes of newspapers and periodicals, book review sources, dissertations, translations, bio-bibliographies, lexica, handbooks, dictionaries, and records of incunabula, manuscripts, first editions, collections, and library union catalogs.
