After studying the relevant literature and the existing situation at the library, the author prepared a report covering (1) reasons for using microforms; (2) bibliographic control of microforms; (3) room, equipment, and staff; and (4) promoting the collection. Recommendations also cover policy considerations in regard to definitions, microform types, reduction ratios, formats, polarity, bibliographic integrity and conversion to microform from hard copy. A bibliography is included. (LS)
