Following a brief preface, the series of eight articles begins with an overview of establishing and administering an archives or manuscript program. Next is a discussion of the problems of defining manuscript collections and the actual business of collecting. Processing is discussed in two articles, one on manuscripts and one on aural and graphic archives. Legal problems and preservation are the topics of two other articles. A discussion of the use of a repository's resources and a bibliographic essay conclude the issue. An appendix on terminology is included. (LS)
