Investigation showed increases since 1967 in the number of libraries providing service to the Spanish speaking, in the size of Spanish language collections, and in the number of libraries conducting surveys of their communities. Tabular summaries of survey results provide information concerning collections, services, staffs, and populations. Appendixes include listings of libraries in the survey and of resource libraries and resource persons in the Bay Area, a summary of recent developments, the survey questionnaire, and a 60-item bibliography.
