- An Illustrated Guide to the International Standard Bibliographic Description for Monographs. Sayre, John L., Comp. Hamburger, Roberta, Comp. Books Cataloging Illustrations International Programs Library Standards Library Technical Processes Monographs Illustrations are provided for descriptive cataloging of monographs in the International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD) format. Sample cards, mostly from the Library of Congress, illustrate the cataloging rules of the newly revised Chapter 6 of the "Anglo-American Cataloging Rules." Arranged in the same order as in Chapter 6, the numbered rules are briefly stated on the right of the page. To the left are cards which illustrate each rule. Separate sections are devoted to the six cataloging areas: author-title, edition, imprint, collation, series, and notes. Three additional sections cover introductory rules, tracings, and special rules. (LS)
