A history of the system's development covers definition of responsibilities, guidelines for operation, and establishment of staff and committees. An organization chart delineates the interaction of the major components of the system and its projects. Responsibilities and membership composition are outlined for each of the five major components, which are: Council of Ontario Universities, Board for Library Coordination, Office of Library Coordination, Ontario Council of University Libraries, and Collections Development Committee. A list of participants, objectives, and progress to date are provided for each of eight projects: (1) union catalog, (2) authority file, (3) cooperative documents catalog, (4) cooperative union serials system, (5) map cataloging, (6) interuniversity borrowing, (7) standardized subject headings, and (8) interuniversity transit system.
