Tucker, Mark College Libraries Innovation Liberal Arts Library Instruction Library Services Library Skills Program Descriptions Program Evaluation Seminars Student Participation Tutorial Programs Five years of operation of the Wabash College Library Project are reviewed and analyzed for the Council on Library Resources, which funded the project. The project is described as one which uses upper division student assistants to provide contact with and library instruction for newer students in freshman tutorials, classes, residences, and the library itself. The narrative portion of the paper provides a profile of the college and describes changes which evolved in the program over the years, the role of student assistants, evaluation procedures, and the impact of the project. Several critiques by students and others also are included here. Appendixes, which make up the major part of the report, include the original proposal, evaluation instruments, materials developed for the project, and several articles about the project reprinted from other sources.
