- Survey of Existing Legal Deposit Laws. Pomassl, Gerhard Foreign Countries Laws Library Collections Library Materials National Libraries Resource Materials Laws governing the deposit of materials in national collections to form national bibliographies are described for 61 countries. Existing laws are summarized in a synoptic survey, with highlights given for each country. The laws of each country are outlined alphabetically by country with information on: (1) deposit regulations; (2) types of documents delivered; (3) obligations of delivery; (4) methods and control of delivery; and (5) problems to be solved. A final section consists of conclusions and recommendations for existing and future legal deposit laws. (KP)
