Montague, Eleanor And Others Cataloging Costs Interlibrary Loans Libraries Library Acquisition Library Networks Library Surveys Tables (Data) One hundred western libraries were surveyed to determine the present costs of library operations which potentially could be affected by the use of network bibliographic services. Results of this project--a survey of 76 libraries and in-depth case studies of 12 additional libraries--are reported in tabular format. Tables are included on holdings distribution; staffing; processing and reference support; computer support; equipment and communications costs; budget and expenditures; regional library summaries; acquisition and cataloging departments budgeting, staffing, and processing patterns; interlibrary loan budget, staffing, and borrowing requests; institutions queried; time; verification policies; frequency of borrowing and lending; locations of borrowing and lending; characteristics of filled borrowing and lending requests; and administration budget and staffing.
