- Data for Massachusetts Comparative Public Library Report. FY 1976. Comparative Analysis Demography Library Collections Library Expenditures Library Materials Library Planning Library Surveys Public Libraries Statistical Analysis Statistical Data Tables (Data) Based upon annual reporting data for FY 76, this statistical report was designed to facilitate rapid comparison of support and activity levels among Massachusetts public libraries. The first section presents summary tables providing means, medians, and percentile values by population group for each of the following indicators: (1) library expenditures as percent of total municipal expenditures; (2) total income per capita; (3) municipal appropriations per capita; (4) total operating expenditures per capita; (5) salary expenditures per capita; (6) salary expenditures as percent of total expenditures; (7) materials expenditures per capita; (8) materials expenditures as percent of total expenditures; (9) print holdings per capita; (10) nonprint holdings per capita; (11) circulation of print materials per capita; and (12) circulation of nonprint materials per capita. In the second section, individual municipalities are listed in tables by population groups to increase comparability of per capita and percentile figures for the above indicators. (JPF)
