| contents | Cost and Funding Studies of a Proposed Western Interstate Bibliographic Network: Survey of Costs in Technical Processing and Interlibrary Loan. Costs Interlibrary Loans Libraries Library Networks Library Surveys Library Technical Processes Questionnaires This questionnaire was issue to 12 western libraries to provide data for in-depth case studies of costs of technical processing and interlibrary loan. An additional 88 libraries received a somewhat shorter questionnaire as part of the same survey, which was designed to determine representative costs of library services without network services, and to establish a basis for the prediction of future costs in library services with network support. Libraries surveyed included academic, regional, and public. The questionnaire includes sections covering: (1) library structure; (2) holdings; (3) staff; (4) processing and reference; (5) equipment, communications, and supplies; (6) building facilities; (7) current budget; (8) regional libraries, resource centers, and centralized processing agents; and (9) acquisitions, cataloging, and interlibrary loans.
