Entries were selected from those materials submitted by publishers which received favorable reviews by educators. Most materials were evaluated by members of the Raleigh, North Carolina chapter of the National Organization for Women. Materials range from primary to senior high school grade levels, and are arranged in three categories: biographies; history, sociology, and biology of sex roles; and curriculum materials illustrating balanced sex roles.
