Associate Degrees College Faculty College Libraries Community Colleges Degrees (Academic) Educational Finance Enrollment Trends Expenditure per Student Expenditures Income State Aid State Surveys Statistical Data Tables (Data) Tax Allocation Teacher Salaries Two Year Colleges Data tables relating to the 16 Mississippi public junior college districts were compiled from the 1976-77 annual report to the Junior College Commission, the FY 1979 budget requests to the Commission on Budget and Accounting, and other available sources. The report was prepared to enable junior college administrators to reflect on norms and trends within their institutions and to provide a statistical data source for the general public. Full-time day enrollment totalled 23,366 in l976-77, a drop of 429 from the previous year. Part-time and evening enrollment totalled 11,728, an increase of 139. Total enrollment, including miscellaneous categories, equaled 46,810, an increase of 57 students over the previous year. Enrollment data are classified by district and by program (academic, technical, vocational). During l976-77, 7,613 students were given degrees or certificates. A sum of $78,145,459 was available and expended for junior college operations. Revenues and expenditures are reported according to district and source or direction of funds. Data on academic preparation of staff, personnel salaries, and on library, transportation, dormitory, and auxiliary services are also provided. (TR)
