This information supplements the report, "A Forecast of Events and Conditions that Might Affect Job and Training Requirements of Medical Librarians." The comments are categorized with respect to the type of person and/or job to which the comment referred--medical library personnel, communications specialists, library technicians, systems analysts, and information specialists. These participants provided comments about the types of librarians and biocommunications personnel who might be affected by the event's occurrence and the possible effects and training implications of each event. Automation, interagency cooperation, increasingly sophisticated information transfer, continuing education for professionals, and the establishment of information centers are the major areas of change as viewed by the experts.
