  • Fifteen Year Report, 1962-1977. Adult Education College Administration College Libraries Community Colleges Educational Finance Enrollment Trends Institutional Characteristics Majors (Students) Organizational Change Personnel Philanthropic Foundations Private Financial Support Statistical Data Two Year Colleges The fifteen-year history of Greenfield Community College (GCC) is outlined in this report which focuses upon the college's formation, organization and development. Following a brief history of the college, which includes the minutes of the first Advisory Board meeting and a list of present and former Board members, the curriculums of the liberal arts, career, and transfer programs are considered. A discussion of the activities and grant support of the Continuing Education Division precedes descriptions of some of the innovative programs developed at the college, and a review of the growth and development of the library, the audio-visual center, and student services. In addition, the problems and progress in the completion of a new campus in 1974 and a history of the GCC Foundation are included. Information regarding the yearly increase in authorized positions, salary ranges, and statistics on degrees conferred by program, graduates by year and program, cost per credit hour relative to state appropriations, cost per student, and cost of operations are presented in tabular form. Also included are a chronology of curriculum development, a list of the members of the Massachusetts Board of Regional Community Colleges, and a record of the gifts, assets and funds of the GCC Foundation.
