Lee, Tae Moon And Others Abstracting Depository Libraries Documentation Federal Government Government Publications Information Dissemination Investigations Library Services Tables (Data) The Study Committee on Federal Documents Depository Survey Items analyzed 67 survey items received by each of five selective depository libraries for a two-month period in order to determine the adequacy of annotations on depository survey item cards issued by the Superintendent of Documents of the U.S. Government Printing Office. Findings of the study are discussed, an analysis of survey data is presented, and full compliance with the statutory requirements of Title 44, United States Code, section 1904, is urged. An appendix includes a listing of the items surveyed in the study, and a memorandum from J.D. Livsey, Director, Library and Statutory Distribution Service, regarding requirements for new item surveys is attached. (RAO)
