After a brief review of executive and administration and support services accomplishments, the report focuses on Window Rock programs: Allied Health, Office of Student Affairs (scholarships, health careers recruiting, Summer Work Experience Program for high school and college students in health-career settings), Health Education, Nursing Education (including rural critical care training), Emergency Medical Services (development of a comprehensive system), Health Statistics and Research (only tribal office of health statistics in the U.S.), Native Healing Sciences, and Navajo Comprehensive Health Planning Agency. Programs at Shiprock include a Family Planning Program, Family Health Center, Media Center (medical library, information dissemination), and Preventive Medicine. There are tables on these topics: number and type of students supported by year and funding source; number of students in various programs administered by Office of Student Affairs; data on veterinary aid workshop graduates and emergency medical technician training courses; number, type, and ethnic background of reservation nurses and physicians.
