  • List of Library Instruction Clearinghouses, Directories and Newsletters and Results of the Clearinghouse Questionnaires. Prince, William, Comp. And Others Clearinghouses Directories Information Sources Library Instruction Newsletters State of the Art Reviews This list is intended to provide librarians with a resource for implementing or modifying their library instruction programs and for developing state/regional clearinghouses, directories, or newsletters on library instruction appropriate to local needs. A clearinghouse is here defined as a center which collects instructional materials for loan and/or on-site inspection. Newsletters and directories are included if they are devoted exclusively to library instruction. Information was collected from the United States, Canada, and selected other countries. Using a questionnaire devised to provide uniform information for all contacts, information was collected on the services, resources, availability, price, and contact persons for all clearinghouses, directories, and newsletters now existing or in the planning stage. The list is comprised first of a summary of the information obtained by type and location and is followed by more detailed information presented on the completed questionnaires. (Author/JVP)
