The report contains the program for the four-day conference, a list of the participants, an outline of the statements and recommendations adopted by the participants, an introductory address on the issues involved in the growth and diversity of screen education, and ten papers and complementary responses that focus on the following areas: the diversity and scope of the field, academic processes, supportive resources, and organizational issues. The topics considered include the problem of standards, a definition of film study, teaching models and materials, curriculum development, library resources, technical resources, and outside supplemental agencies and organizations.
