Aesthetic Education Art Curriculum Development Demonstration Programs Handicapped Children Information Dissemination Institutes (Training Programs) Program Evaluation Technical Assistance Workshops The report presents evaluation data on the activities of the National Committee for Arts for the Handicapped (NCAH) during the 1977-78 school year. Status of NCAH objectives is detailed for four objectives (sample findings in parentheses): national awareness activities (formation of a National Arts Forum; development of a national training workshop for consumer organizations and agencies; and organization of a publication, film, and media resource library on arts for the handicapped); training and technical assistance (development of Arts for the Handicapped Resource and Information Network, and production of 14 publications on arts topics); research and curriculum development (development of an "Arts for Learning" curriculum guide); and model programs (descriptions of three model sites, requests for special projects, and a summary of participation in Very Special Arts Festivals). Among six recommendations made are for a national media program and for a computerized mailing list and label system. (CL)
