In "Awareness of Library Resources: A Characteristic of Professional Workers; An Essential in Research and Continuing Education," Virginia Henderson addresses questions that include the following: What is meant by library resources? What organizational structures promote the development of such resources and to what extent is nursing so organized? What skills are needed by students and health workers in using library resources? The use of library resources and an overview of the question of whether on-going nursing education should be voluntary or mandatory are addressed by Lucie Young Kelly in "Reference Sources for Mandatory and Voluntary Continuing Education for Nurses." In "The Significance of the Literature Search in the Research Process," Lucille E. Notter discusses purposes of the literature search, some of the sources available for search, keeping notes and writing the summary of the review, and relating the findings of the literature search to the individual's own research findings.
