Kysilka, Marcella And Others Classification Indexing Information Systems Inservice Teacher Education Instructional Materials Media Selection Metric System Program Descriptions Public Schools Resource Centers Three responsibilities of educators with regard to metric instruction are outlined--providing metric awareness, providing inservice education, and providing materials for metric instruction--and a description is provided of a system for classifying instructional materials in a school library so they become more readily available to teachers. The Annehurst Curriculum Classification System, designed for classifying, organizing, storing, and retrieving curriculum materials, is presented in detail. The system involves making 16 decisions about each piece of curriculum material and labeling each item according to those 16 decisions. (DS)
