Items are divided into six categories: reference works such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, discographies, record reviews, and record charts; periodicals; history and criticism including individual artist and group biographies; literature by artists; songbooks; and literature on the music industry, album cover art, and on becoming a rock and roll star. Entries are listed alphabetically by author within each section and Library of Congress numbers are provided. An individual artist and group index concludes the document. (KC)
