The dialogs are grouped under the following titles: (1) "Buying Furniture," (2) "Straightening Metal Surfaces," (3) "Opening a Checking Account," (4) "Going to the Doctor," (5) "Building Shelves," (6) "How to Use the Disc Grinder," (7) "Getting the Car Fixed," (8) "Going to the Post Office," (9) "Emergency!" (10) "Applying and Cutting Plastic Filler," (11) "The Traffic Ticket," (12) "Going to the Library," and (13) "The Job Interview." Several of the units deal with autobody repair. Dialogs are followed by questions that ask students to describe aspects of a pictured situation. Each unit ends with an exercise in which students are required to improvise dialog. (JB)
