SIDA's work in the following areas is examined: (1) education in information science for Portuguese information officers, (2) introduction of a computerized current awareness system in Portugal, (3) establishment of contacts with suppliers of interactive retrospective services, (4) production of a union catalog of periodicals available in Portuguese libraries, (5) establishment of contacts with international organizations and people in the field of information science, and (6) creation of a library in information science. Appendices provide a list of abbreviations used in the report as well as sample seminar agendas. (FM) |
