This guide presents the detailed procedures for accomplishment of this study. The report on the study opens with a coversheet containing official data for the program seeking accreditation and a standard declaration, followed by a 7-part document consisting of an introductory statement and a section for each of six ALA standards. The introductory statement includes a brief historical background of the institution and its library education program together with a description of the procedures followed in organizing and conducting the self-study. Within each of the sections are two subsections, one providing descriptive and statistical data, the other incorporating the results of the self-study deliberations. (RAA) |
