The survey presents budgeting information by sources; profiles of collections; circulation of videotapes; catalog organization; information supplied by agency catalogs; catalog annotations and their content, sources, and revisions; catalog contents, subject classification, revision, and distribution; and the use of common computer bases for catalog generation. Responses to questions on controversial materials cover administrative approval, separate cataloging, challenges to collections, frequency of challenged items, and geographic distribution of challenges.
