- Part-Time Students: Their Use of a Polytechnic Library. LLRS Publications. Pritchard, Alan Payne, Philip Academic Libraries Foreign Countries Higher Education Information Utilization Library Surveys Part Time Students Use Studies Part-time students at City of London Polytechnic were surveyed regarding their use of the library. This report explains the methodology, presents survey results, and summarizes conclusions of the study. Analysis is based on a response rate of approximately 26 percent of the questionnaires which were distributed to a sample of students. In addition to characterizing users, the results measure use of the library according to academic department, type and grade of course, day and location of class, and by length of travelling time. Responses also identify additional services desired by part-time students, reasons for not using the library, and the extent of use of other libraries. Contained in the appendices are a copy of the questionnaire and relevant correspondence. (SW)
