Databases Educational Facilities Improvement Information Centers Information Sources Information Systems Policy Shared Services State Programs This guide is intended to aid Maryland educators in using Project LIFE (Library Information Functional Exchange), an information retrieval system designed to strengthen the resource base of the State Media Services Center, to support school library personnel by providing access to pertinent information which is not available in local resources, and to provide opportunities for Maryland educators to know about new educational programs, practices, and products available both locally and nationally. The workings of the system, including its information request and delivery procedures, product distribution and duplication methods, additional services, and resources are identified. Appendices contain a glossary, Project LIFE forms, a listing of Project LIFE linkers, a list of DIALOG databases, a list of periodicals held by the State Media Services Center, and ERIC information.
