Following a discussion of the history of the system, its current status is reviewed in terms of program offerings full-/part-time programs and adult enrollments. Descriptions of each college are then provided, summarizing: (1) statistical data concerning staff size, library holdings, enrollment, and number of graduates; (2) admissions policies and procedures; (3) the availability of financial aid; (4) student activities; (5) instructional programs; and (6) contact persons in admissions and financial aid. After a discussion of adult and continuing education programs, preparatory career programs, and college parallel courses and programs, major pre-baccalaureate concentration areas are listed in terms of their availability at the 15 schools. Special programs for the disadvantaged, the handicapped, and Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) candidates are also discussed. Revenues and expenditures for fiscal years 1969 through 1979 are then summarized on a series of data tables, and major state legislation concerning the area schools is outlined. The sourcebook concludes with a taxonomy of career education programs offered within the system. (JP)
