Written in MUMPS, a higher-level language, the system includes the following bibliographic features: the tag create/edit process, priority tag groups, selection strategy, tape handling, work space and master bibliographic file (MBF) editing, addition/modification/deletion of MBF records, and original cataloging. Appendices include an ASCII character collating sequence and descriptions of ILS bibliographic functions in relation to the file structures used. Illustrations and flow charts are provided. (FM)
