Wall, Richard And Others Conferences Definitions Futures (of Society) Librarians Library Automation Library Planning Library Science Long Range Planning Professional Continuing Education This list of citations covers three broad areas: (1) redefining librarianship: organizations, people, and technology; (2) continuing education for librarians; and (3) librarians and libraries in the 1980's: the White House Conference on Library and Information Services (WHCLIS) and beyond. The last is divided into three main sections devoted to (1) pre-conferences and related activities held prior to WHCLIS, (2) the conference itself, and (3) recent writings concerned with libraries and librarians in the 1980's and after. In addition, the bibliography includes listings of publications by three Library Association of the City University of New York (LACUNY) Institute speakers: Susan K.
