Five modules comprise the course: (1) motivation in the organizational setting, (2) individual needs--organizational responses, (3) integrating individual and organizational goals, (4) the manager's role in motivation--leadership styles, and (5) creating a motivational climate in the organization. Each module contains an overall discussion of sub-topics, an annotated bibliography of print and nonprint materials for further study, tests on required readings, and self-tests and exercises. Guidelines for successful participation in home study courses are presented for course authors, reviewers, students, study groups, and faculty evaluators. Procedural guidelines for the handling of administrative details of home study programs are also presented. (SW) |
