An introduction outlines and comments on interlibrary loan responsibilities, operating assumptions, principles, and goals. Comments on a diagram of the proposed patterns, a list of issues requiring further study, and definitions are also provided. The main body of the report describes the recommended interloan patterns for public, school, academic, special, and health science libraries. Appendices include study committee membership, committee goals and objectives, the 1976 interlibrary cooperation plan, and priority resolutions from the governors conference on library and information services.
