The report is presented in four major parts: (1) the introduction and executive summary, containing an overview, a description of the report audience, and priorities for readers; (2) current systems and the need for a statewide database describing the existing automation environment and defining the key component for future automation activities; (3) current plans and future systems, describing the current commercial and not-for-profit automated services and planned extensions to these services; and (4) 1980-1985: a five-year plan, defining the specific actions, projects, committees, task teams, etc. required to carry out report recommendations.
