The first booklet outlines the steps for starting a collection: identify users, define users' materials and information needs, draft an acquisition policy, identify sources for population education materials, order and request materials, and process a book into the library. Other information contained in the first booklet includes guidelines for choosing subject headings, a population education classification scheme outline, and descriptors for population education materials. The second booklet lists recommended titles for a core collection for both in-school and out-of-school population education. Directories are listed in the third booklet. The fourth booklet describes population programs in Asia and Oceania as of November 1980. Finished, in-progress, and proposed programs are included. The fifth booklet, which is comprised of two parts, lists sources and resources for in-school and out-of-school population education. (Author/RM)
