The project also sought (1) to identify nonverbal behaviors of requesters and search intermediaries; (2) to identify tasks that are accomplished by the librarian to facilitate information exchange; and (3) to objectively code videotaped presearch interviews in terms of the extent to which those tasks were accomplished. Chapters review the literature related to the analysis of verbal behavior, describe the methodology of the study, report the findings, and discuss their implications. A bibliography lists more than 30 references. (FM) |
