(2) What specific materials in this field are recommended for elementary school libraries by professional selection aids? (3) Do school librarians believe Bible literature should be available to students through the school library? (4) Do school librarians believe that they have an adequate collection of Bible literature? (5) Do school librarians believe enough books in the field are being published? (6) How do school librarians gain access to this material? and (7) To what extent is Bible literature present in elementary school libraries? A review of the literature, a description of the methodology, an analysis of the findings, and a list of recommendations are provided. Appendices contain a sample questionnaire, a list of recommended books, a school district policy statement, a list of selection tools used, letters of permission, and responses to open ended questions. A bibliography lists 109 sources. (FM)
