Education-related organizations are those on the periphery of the academic community such as the American Council on Education, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. Professional societies, research institutes, trade associations, and special-interest groups that offer special surveys, studies, research on higher education, sponsorshlp of conferences, symposia, and business-education relationships are also sources of corporate aid to academe.
