AACR 2 and New York Libraries. Card Catalogs Cataloging Costs Libraries Library Acquisition Library Automation Library Planning Library Standards Library Surveys Library Technical Processes Online Systems Problems and opportunities resulting from the implementation of the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, 2nd edition (AACR 2) are examined in 12 essays by a representative sample of librarians at various New York State public, community college, college, and school libraries. Eight papers relate specifically to implementation experiences at these libraries. Two other papers address implications for interlibrary loan and the deferment of implementation costs. The remaining two papers provide a historical perspective of library planning and library standards and a report by the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries. Twenty-one references are included in three essays. (RBF)
