The role of the professional staff in helping students make crucial decisions is described. A review of the literature is presented which lists resources and information that may be helpful in setting up a career resource center. Data are reported from studies of college career programs along with recommendations for developing career guidance centers. A description of the CRC at Harcum Junior College (Pennsylvania) is described, including the guidance activities, full-time, part-time and summer job placements, employer-college relations, the career library, the credentialing process, and job recruiter visits.
